MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To manage the quality control process within Legal Collections, to identify risks and problem areas, to make recommendations to manage the identified risks and problem areas to ensure higher efficiency of the Legal Collections Department
MINIMUM EDUCATION:
?B Proc Degree or LLB
?Admitted Attorney
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
?2 years relevant experience in a law practice
CRITICAL COMPETENCIES:
?Knowledge and understanding of the following legislation:
oMagistrate's Courts Act
oNational Credit Act
oUsury Act and Exemption Notice
oDebt Collectors Act
?MS Office Skills
?Business Thinking Skills
?Decision Making Skills
?Planning Skills
?Communication Skills (written & verbal)
?Sense of urgency
?Performance & Results driven
?Attention to detail
?Knowledge and understanding of the workflow in a law firm, tracer office and Debt Collecting Company
?Knowledge and understanding of the Debt Collection Process
?Organisational Skills
?Microsoft Excel Skills
?Ability to work independently
?Knowledge and understanding of the Departments in Legal Collections
?Administrative Skills
?Ability to implement new processes
